Based in New York City, Jason Wise has Directed and Choreographed over 20 productions around the world - most recently, Anything Goes (starring Sally Struthers and Andrea McArdle) at Gateway Playhouse and Ogunquit Playhouse, and serving as the Choreographer for Mamma Mia! at ACT of Connecticut (under the Artistic Advisory of Stephen Schwartz). Other recent: The Obsession of Calvin Klein at The Public Theater in New York, Bayside: The Saved By The Bell Musical, The Wolf (World Premiere at Theater Raleigh) and Full House: The Musical starring Perez Hilton (Toronto and New York Off-Broadway Productions).
Jason has also staged Musical Numbers for Tony, Emmy, and Oscar Winning Stars of the Stage and Screen including Karen Ziemba, Brent Barrett, Lee Roy Reams, Maureen McGovern, Karen Akers, Donna McKechnie, Faith Prince, Leslie Uggams, Ryan Raftery, Cole Escola, Christine Andreas, Jackie Hoffman, Bridget Everett, Madeleine Brewer, Julia Murney, Shari Sanders, Stephanie J. As a Performer, Jason appeared as Tumblebrutus in over 800 Performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS (US, Canada, Columbia, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela) and toured the country in Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Carpet). Film and Television appearances include: The Wolf of Wall Street (Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and Directed by Martin Scorsese), SMASH (NBC), Pan Am (ABC), Dance Moms (Lifetime), The Amazing Spiderman 2, The Normal Heart (HBO) and appears alongside Rufus Wainwright and Joey Luft in the Documentary Judy Garland: Too Young To Die (Netflix). Jason is the Former Resident Choreographer at Ellen's Stardust Diner, home to New York's world famous singing wait staff.
Considered one of New York's most sought after teachers, Jason has served on the Faculty and/or Guest Faculty at Broadway Dance Center (New York), The American Academy Of Dramatic Arts (New York), The American Musical & Dramatic Academy (Los Angeles), The Joffrey Ballet School (New York), The National Ballet School (Canada), Peridance Capezio Center (New York), CAP 21 (New York), Axelrod Performing Arts Academy (New Jersey), The Kent School (Canada), and the world renowned Jacob's Pillow (Lee, MA).
